Legal
Terms and Conditions
Effective 18 June 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of QueVault. By accepting them or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not continue to use the app.
1. Purpose of the App
QueVault is an information-management tool for software licenses, passwords, private records, purchase information, credentials, expiry dates, notes, custom templates, attachments and related material. It can store vaults locally or, when chosen and supported, in iCloud Drive.
2. Eligibility and Authority
You must be legally capable of entering into these terms. If you use the app for another person or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to manage that information and accept these terms. The app is not directed to children.
3. Licence to Use
You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the app under the applicable marketplace record. You may not copy, resell, rent, reverse engineer, interfere with or misuse the app except where law expressly permits it.
4. Your Data and Responsibilities
You remain responsible for all information and files you enter, import, attach, back up, synchronise or export, including the right to use them and compliance with law, contracts, confidentiality, intellectual property and privacy.
5. Passwords, Encryption and Access
Vault encryption is optional and varies by edition. You are responsible for strong passwords and device, Apple account, backup and export access. Password recovery is not guaranteed, and a vault may become permanently inaccessible if its password is lost.
6. Backups, Restore, Import and Export
You are responsible for suitable backups and checking restores. Imports may create duplicates, merge incorrect records or omit fields. Exports may contain sensitive information in readable form. Review imports and secure every export.
7. iCloud and Third-Party Services
When iCloud is enabled, vault files are handled through your Apple account and Apple's systems. Availability and security may be affected by Apple's services, terms, status, limits and settings.
8. Expiry Alerts and Notifications
Alerts are convenience features and may be delayed, suppressed, duplicated or unavailable. Do not rely on the app as the sole method for meeting renewal, cancellation, payment, compliance or other deadlines.
9. Availability and Changes
The app may be updated, changed, suspended or discontinued. Features and formats may evolve. Uninterrupted operation and compatibility with every device, system release or historical vault are not guaranteed.
10. Intellectual Property
The app, design, software, branding and supplied content are protected by intellectual-property laws. Your data remains yours. Third-party names, icons and images remain the property of their owners.
11. No Professional Advice
The app does not provide legal, financial, tax, accounting, security, procurement or compliance advice. Independently check information before acting on it.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is supplied on an "as is" and "as available" basis without a guarantee that it will be error-free, secure against every threat or suitable for a particular purpose. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or business losses, or loss of data, credentials, opportunity, revenue or savings arising from the app or related services. Liability that cannot lawfully be excluded remains unaffected.
14. Subscriptions, Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the app or cancel a subscription at any time. Cancelling an auto-renewable Small Business subscription stops its next renewal and does not shorten the period already paid for. After that period and any applicable marketplace billing grace period expire, creation, import, additional vault capacity and business administration features may be paused. Existing vaults remain unlockable and existing records remain available to view, copy, export and back up. QueVault does not delete or hide existing data solely because a subscription ends. Access may otherwise be limited where required by law, marketplace rules, security needs or serious misuse. Removing the app may not remove files stored separately.
15. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated to reflect the app, law or operating practices. A revised version will have a new effective date and may require fresh acceptance.
16. Governing Rules and Contact
These terms are governed by applicable laws, including mandatory local consumer protections. Raise questions through the QueVault support form. Nothing restricts a right to use an available court or dispute process.
